Perth and Peel lockdown

Categories:

Following advice from the State Government of a four-day lockdown in the Perth metropolitan area and Peel region, the City of Joondalup has closed all community facilities including libraries, Craigie Leisure Centre, skate parks and the reception area of the City’s administration building, effective immediately until further notice.

All facility bookings during the lockdown have been cancelled.

With residents able to exercise for one hour per day, a maximum of 5km radius from home, all parks remain open for recreational purposes. However, playgrounds, tennis courts and exercise equipment are not available for use. The staircase at the Whitfords Nodes Health and Wellbeing Hub is closed.

Waste services will continue as normal throughout the lockdown, and customer service queries can be directed to the City via email info@joondalup.wa.gov.au or call 9400 4255.

The City will continue to be guided by the Department of Health on appropriate responses relating to the COVID-19 issue. Further updates on changes to City services, events and programs will be provided as more information on relevant restrictions is made available. Please continue to check the City’s website and social media channels, the Craigie Leisure Centre website and social media channels and the Joondalup Libraries social media channels for updates.

The health and safety of our residents is a priority, and the City asks all of its residents to follow the directions issued by the State Government in order to stay safe while enabling essential services and permitted activities to continue.
