Reference services for students
The reference area and collection, located on the lower ground floor at Joondalup library, provides a quiet study and research environment with free Wi-Fi, a variety of seating, internet and two small-group study rooms.
Reference has a comprehensive collection of ATAR and WACE exam papers and revision guides, and access to a wide variety of online databases and other resources to assist with your assignments during the year.
The Joondalup library holds exam-revision resources for the following:
- Maths (Specialist, Methods and Applications, as well as WACE 2AB to 3CD).
- English and English Literature.
- Human Biology.
- Accounting and Finance.
- Modern History.
- Politics and Law.
The book collection includes resources relevant to each of the above subjects, as well as Ancient History, Business Management and Enterprise, Children Family and the Community, Drama, Earth and Environmental Science, Food Science, Health Studies, Marine and Maritime Studies, Materials Design and Technology, Media Production and Analysis, Philosophy and Ethics, Religion and Life and Visual Arts.
Exam supervision (not invigilation) is also available by prior arrangement. Please contact reference staff at least two weeks ahead of the date of your exam to arrange a suitable time.
Note: Some of these services are available at Duncraig, Whitford and Woodvale libraries such as study spaces, internet access and WiFi. The Online Resources are accessible 24/7 with your library card.
