Rescheduled 2021 Valentine’s Concert
Take 2. The City of Joondalup’s rescheduled 2021 Valentine’s Concert will take place at Joondalup Resort on Thursday 18 March.
The City has been able to secure the same act, same venue and same set time. Full refunds will be offered to those ticketholders who can no longer attend.
More than 5,000 people were expected to witness Perth Symphony Orchestra and special guests deliver an 80s Symphonic Spectacular at Joondalup Resort on Thursday 11 February. However, the City was forced to postpone the world-premiere concert less than a week out due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Joondalup Mayor Albert Jacob said the new concert date was a fantastic outcome for the majority of ticketholders who could again look forward to taking a musical step back in time to the 1980s.
“I’d like to congratulate everyone involved in the successful negotiations including Joondalup Resort, our sponsors and Perth Symphony Orchestra,” he said.
“We’d love to see as many ticketholders as possible in attendance, but we understand the new date may not work for some and they will rightly be seeking full refunds.
“Our community has been very understanding about why the City had to postpone the original concert date and this is a great reward for their patience.”
Mayor Jacob said the Valentine’s Concert would only add to an exciting calendar of cultural events during March with details of a new COVID-safe, family-friendly event soon to be announced. That event will take place from Friday 26 March – Sunday 28 March.
The Valentine’s Concert will be a COVID-safe event. Full details of the measures in place for the concert are available on the City’s website.
The City will continue to monitor all relevant directions relating to COVID-19 and will follow the appropriate State Government advice.
Anyone unable to attend the Valentine’s Concert on the rescheduled date of 18 March can access a full refund. An email will be distributed to all ticketholders to outline the process for accessing refunds. This information will also be made available on the City’s website. Please note: if customers request a refund, they will not have tickets for the rescheduled date and will be required to purchase tickets again should they wish to attend. Availability of tickets cannot be guaranteed.
