Children’s Birthday’s – How To Book a Park or Facility

The City of Joondalup has many ideal locations that make entertaining children a breeze. The City has an abundance of outdoor parks that are suitable for children’s parties along with a number of suitable indoor community facilities when the weather is not on your side. See below for information on suitable locations along with relevant photos and booking links for your child’s next birthday. If you wish to proceed to the City’s online booking system to make a booking, follow this link to start your online booking application. Please allow seven days for your booking to be assessed by one of the City’s Booking Officers. Hillarys Beach Park (Whitfords Nodes Health and Wellbeing Hub)

Transformation into the health and wellbeing hub

Whitfords Nodes Health and Wellbeing Hub at Hillarys Beach Park now includes a large shaded public playground for the enjoyment of children aged between two and 12 years old. The playground includes swings, combination and climbing units, nature play elements, sand play and all-abilities play. The park also has many undercover picnic settings, benches and barbecues, new tree planting, an improved irrigation system, drink fountains and universal access footpaths.

Visitors to the park can also enjoy the iconic exercise stairway that extends to a height of 22m up the dune landscape and has 145 steps to climb with rest stops along the way. The top offers panoramic views of the coastline and the harbour. The exercise stairway is linked to multiple running tracks of varying lengths and difficulty through the park and the dunes. At the base of the stairway is a dedicated outdoor fitness equipment area suited to body weight exercises and calisthenics.

The health and wellbeing hub is also home to Australia’s largest outdoor park warrior course featuring 16 innovative and challenging obstacles over a 78 metre soft fall surface. Participants can register and record their times via an app, available by scanning a QR code located at the starting line of the course, allowing them to challenge themselves or others.

Iluka Beach Park

The City boasts 17km of stunning coastline, stretching north from Beach Road in Marmion, through to Burns Beach Road in Burns Beach. The beaches within the City have many facilities, which makes visiting them a pleasurable experience for residents and tourists of all ages.

Duncraig Community Centre

Located next to Mildenhall in the Percy Doyle Reserve complex, this facility can be used for meetings, large birthday parties, fundraisers or functions.

Set within the lush parklands of Timberlane Park, facilities include tennis courts for hire, a main hall which can be divided into two and ample parking.
