Public Art: Street Bollards, 1998

Artist: Peter Dailey

Peter Dailey is one of Perth’s most respected sculptors. His artworks have investigated the idea of change within our existing amalgam of social structures and power relationships.

Referencing the aesthetics of the 1920’s German expressionist film drama, Metropolis, Dailey’s bollards populate the streetscape of Joondalup.

Public Art: Tree Grates

Artist: Peter Dailey

Peter Dailey is one of Perth’s most respected sculptors. The tree grates scattered throughput the CBD were commissioned in 2002.

The textured grates are derived from organic forms, such as plant structures, both as a literal representation of nature and as a metaphor for the nature of all things.
