Temporary road closure on Moolanda Boulevard in Kingsley

Due to safety concerns regarding the condition of the Robertson Road Cycleway overpass bridge, the City of Joondalup has installed a temporary road closure on Moolanda Boulevard, Kingsley, where the bridge crosses the road.

The closure is for both southbound and northbound vehicles. Detours utilising Cadogan Street, Halidon Street and Barridale Drive will be in place with directional signage to alert and direct drivers.

Local residents and their visitors will be able to access their homes past the road detour points on Moolanda Boulevard but will not be able to pass the closure barriers installed at the pedestrian and cycling bridge. Users of the Robertson Road Cycleway are directed to cross Moolanda Boulevard using the available paths.

Emergency services and Transperth have also been advised with Transperth implementing temporary bus stops. Access to local schools will not be affected but there may be delays due to the detours.

The City apologises for the inconvenience during this time and is aiming to safely reopen Moolanda Boulevard within the next four weeks – dependent on weather and availability of materials and contractors.
