Walking trail users advised of parking restriction
Users of the Yaberoo Budjara Heritage Trail are advised of a change to the parking conditions near the entrance to the trail on Burns Beach Road, at the intersection of Blue Mountain Drive in Joondalup.
The City will apply a “No Stopping Carriageway or Verge” parking restriction on the footpath and a small section of the verge area near the entrance gate for public safety reasons.
The City has taken this action due to an increase in vehicles parking on the footpath, which is illegal and puts the safety of pedestrians at risk.
The change will allow walkers and bike riders wishing to use the trail to have unimpeded access, as well as ensuring the access gate to the adjacent Water Corporation site is kept clear.
The parking restriction will be applied on Monday 5 November 2018. Trail users will be informed of the change via the City’s communication channels and on-site signage.
