During term two, local schools are invited to participate in the annual school art competition, Celebrating Joondalup.

Schools are encouraged to exhibit their designs at school and to select six entries for submission to the City for judging. A maximum of six entries will be accepted from each school.

The designs are required to be in portrait orientation on paper that is approximately A2 size. Designs made to scale will transfer more successfully to the digital display. The artwork can be in any medium.

The winning design, as chosen by the City, will be photographed and entered into WA Local Government Association's (WALGA’s) Showcase in Pixels competition. The winning entries of the WALGA competition will be displayed on the iconic digital tower at the heart of Yagan Square, Perth.

Registrations close on Friday 27 March 2026.  Artwork must be submitted by Friday 22 May 2026.

For information on the 2026 competition, please email the School Connections team.
