The Native Plant Giveaway offers eligible residents the chance to apply for a pack of free native plants to help create waterwise and biodiverse gardens. Together we can grow a cooler, greener Joondalup for both our community and our wildlife to enjoy.
Expressions of interest will open on Tuesday 3 March 2026 and close on Tuesday 17 March 2026.

The Native Plant Giveaway is proudly co-funded by Water Corporation’s Waterwise Greening Scheme and is part of the City’s ambition to be a leading waterwise community.

How to join
1. Submit your expression of interest application by clicking the link that will appear on this page during the opening period from Tuesday 3 March - Tuesday 17 March 2026. Please read the Terms and Conditions when submitting your application and note that preference will be given to new participants.
2. If you are successful, you will receive a confirmation email. Please note this email can take up to 8 weeks to be sent as we sort applications and re-allocate any uncollected plants to new participants.
3. If successful, collect your plants according to the details provided in the confirmation email. Note that uncollected plants will be re-allocated unless alternative arrangements have been made with the City.
4. Plant your new plants according to our Native Plant Giveaway 2026 Guide and the other resources provided with your plants.
5. Complete our feedback form to help inform future waterwise greening initiatives.
