Individual and systemic disability advocacy. Providing free disability advocacy and information to migrant, refugee and Aboriginal people with disability to ensure equitable access to a range of services provided by government and non-government agencies. Advocating with individuals and/or their carers in ensuring that supports and services are responsive to their cultural and linguistic needs. Raising community awareness of the rights of people with disability. Kin Disability Advocacy also provides a fee-for service consultancy service, including Intercultural Competency training and advice to mainstream disability support organisations on best practice models of service delivery and support for ethno-culturally and linguistically diverse people with disability. Kin Disability Advocacy uses accredited language interpreters.
