Make your own Miniature Chicken Bag | TRIBUTE 2026

Create your own miniature “chicken bag” inspired by Emma Buswell’s award-winning artwork The Sometimes Luxury Handbag and other Suburban Fables, featured in the City of Joondalup art collection.

In this relaxed evening workshop, participants will learn the basics of bead weaving using a simple handmade loom created from recycled materials. Emma will guide you through setting up threads, weaving beads into place, and building colourful patterns row by row.

Perfect for beginners and anyone curious about textile-based craft, the session explores slow making, creativity and accessible techniques you can continue at home. All materials are supplied, including beads, looms, threads and tools.

Light refreshments will be provided. Please advise of any dietary requirements when booking.
