Tour to Cleanaway MRF and LOOP Upcycling

Join the City of Joondalup and the City of Wanneroo in a joint facility tour for Global Recycling Day 2026.

You will be taken into the educational and viewing room at the Cleanaway Material Recovery Facility to see how recycling is sorted and baled. Next you will be taken to Loop Upcycling where we will be shown around the working site to see how textiles are upcycled into new products locally here in Malaga. Come ready with your questions on recycling and waste textiles - the staff are looking forward to answering them for you.

• 9.10am - City of Wanneroo pick up - front of the Civic Centre/library building (3 Rocca way, Wanneroo)
• 9.30am - City of Joondalup pick up - Timberlane Park, Woodvale (17 Althaea Way, Woodvale)
• approx. 30min drive - Cleanaway Material Recovery Facility
• 10am - arrive at Cleanaway Material Recovery Facility (registrations, PPE and toilet break)
• 10.30am - commence tour
• 11.45am - morning tea/early lunch (provided)
• 12.30pm - leave Cleanaway, make way to Loop Upcycling
• 1pm - arrive at Loop to commence tour
• 2.30pm - depart Loop
• 2.50pm - arrive (approx.) at Timberlane Park – City of Joondalup drop off
• 3.05pm - arrive (approx.) at Civic Centre/library building – City of Wanneroo drop off.
