Innovate Joondalup 2026 delivers a range of business support programs designed to help startups, entrepreneurs and established businesses thrive right here in the City of Joondalup.
Led by expert industry training providers, these free programs offer mentorship, hands-on learning and powerful networking opportunities to accelerate your success.
As part of the Innovate Joondalup 2026 Business Support Program, the following workshops will be offered: AI and Innovation – Work Smarter, Not Harder, Digital and social media Essentials, Hello Monday – Level Up, Plus Eight Pre-Accelerator and Understanding Numbers.

Program Details:
The 2026 Innovate Joondalup program will deliver the following specialised support programs:
- AI and Innovation – Work Smarter not Harder: This practical, real-world workshop is designed for small and growing micro- businesses that want to move beyond the basics and feel confident, capable and future-ready with AI. Through a hands-on, interactive 3-hour workshop, participants will learn practical applications of AI that can be implemented immediately to drive innovation and growth.
- Digital and Social Media Essentials Workshop: The Digital and Social Media Essentials Workshop delivers rapid skill-building for local business owners. Delivered as a single, practical half-day workshop, this program provides everything business owners need to improve visibility, attract customers and manage their digital presence effectively. A personalised mentoring session will also be offered to participants of the workshop. This 1-on-1 session will be organised on different days.
- Hello Monday - Level Up: The Level-up program is a practical, strategic pathway designed for small and growing micro- businesses targeted for women ready to grow their business. Combining mentoring, planning and community, the program offers bite-sized learning and 1:1 support to set goals, gain clarity and build confidence.
- Plus Eight Pre-Accelerator: Plus Eight Pre-Accelerator Sprint is an intensive six-week program designed for founders and early-stage businesses ready to gain traction and scale. Through weekly masterclasses, hands-on projects and 1:1 mentoring, participants build essential skills, validate ideas and fast-track growth. The program culminates in a pitch night, connecting you to a network of mentors and opportunities to accelerate your business.
- Understanding Numbers: This program helps business owners strengthen financial literacy and management skills. Participants will learn practical tools for budgeting, cashflow forecasting, understanding profit and loss and using cloud-based financial systems. Key topics include pricing for profit, managing debt, improving margins, interpreting financials for better decision making.

AARP Start: The AARP Start program is a free 12-week accelerator program giving Joondalup businesses access to the Australian Automation and Robotics Precinct, a world-class test bed just 15 minutes from the city centre. This program helps you develop, test and showcase robotics and automation solutions in real-world industrial environments, accelerating your journey into the future of automation.

Joondalup Innovation Challenge
The Joondalup Innovation Challenge (JIC) is an employability and entrepreneurship challenge designed to build the employability and resilience of students. It brings together educators, business leaders, entrepreneurs and artists to build a community unlike any other, right here in Joondalup.
JIC features multidisciplinary student teams across six educational institutions, solving real world problems faced by industry and competing for prizes that help them build their network and support future employment opportunities and work placements.
JIC is made possible thanks to a wide network of partners, sponsors, and program mentors.
