Communities in-focus is a capacity building program focused on supporting community groups and individuals to strengthen their skills to continue to achieve great things in the community.
The program empowers community members to lead grassroot initiatives and develop sustainable community organisations.
Through offering workshops, facilitation sessions from subject matter experts and networking opportunities the program provides practical learning and collaboration opportunities.

Exploring Burnout & Activating Self Care

The evidence-based course ‘Exploring Burnout & Activating Self-Care’ can assist individuals in creating values and a practice that focuses on wellbeing. This training covers stress, burnout, and compassion fatigue; including exploration of signs, symptoms, prevention strategies, and accessing support. Participants will investigate the different aspects of self-care, reflecting on its importance in their life whilst activating a self-care plan.
This training will cover:
- What is considered stress, compassion fatigue & burnout?
- The contributing factors, signs and symptoms of compassion fatigue.
- The impact of long-term stress and burnout.
- Ways to prevent and manage stress, compassion fatigue and burnout.
- What are practices that can support your wellbeing?
- What is genuine self-care and why it is important?
- Aspects of self-care including accessing counselling and support.
