Preserve your precious video and photographic memories by converting them into digital format at our free digitisation station at Woodvale Library.

If you have old photographs, you can use our photo scanner to convert them into a digital format and save them onto a thumb drive for safe keeping and easy sharing.

If you have old VHS or VHS-C tapes, our video digitisation station converts tapes into digital files quickly and easily, so that they too can be saved onto a portable hard drive.

There are many benefits to digitising photos and videos:

  • Preservation: Physical photos and videos can suffer damage over time. Digitising them ensures that your memories are preserved in high-quality digital formats, safeguarding them against deterioration.
  • Easy sharing: Digital photos and videos can be easily shared with family and friends through email, social media, or cloud storage.
  • Easy to organise: Digital photos and videos can be organised into albums and tagged for easy searching.
  • Restoration and editing: Digital photos can be touched up using software to restore colour, remove red eyes, and fix other imperfections.
  • Creative options: Once digitised, photos can be used to create digital albums, photo books, and other creative projects. This opens up new ways to enjoy and share your memories.

Library staff are available to get you started and help with any questions or technical support.

Call Woodvale Library on 9400 4180 to book some time on the digitisation station.
