The City of Joondalup has made the decision to postpone a community celebration of the new Duncraig Adventure Hub, originally scheduled for this Saturday 28 March, due to the deteriorating weather linked to ex tropical Cyclone Narelle.
The celebration will now be held on Saturday 11 April 2026, 4:00-8:30pm.
Joondalup Mayor Daniel Kingston said the City remained committed to delivering the celebration.
“Cyclones bring weather that is hard to predict and so the safest and most sensible option is postponing the event. While nothing is certain, the current forecast is for strong winds and rain,” Mayor Kingston said.
“We want the community to be able to enjoy this celebration safely, comfortably and with a full program of activities.
“We look forward to welcoming local residents and the wider community to Duncraig Adventure Hub on Saturday 11 April.”
The Duncraig Adventure Hub remains open for public use, and the City encourages residents to stay informed about weather warnings and take care over the coming days.
