Families are invited to celebrate National Family Day with a free, family-friendly expo designed to help parents and children build strong financial foundations for the future.
Hosted by Joondalup Libraries, the Financial Freedom Expo will bring together local experts and community organisations to share practical advice on budgeting, money management, financial literacy and creating long-term financial security for the whole family.
Whether you're looking to start a family budget, teach your children the value of money, reduce household expenses or learn more about building generational wealth, this event offers valuable information in a welcoming and supportive environment.
While parents connect with financial and community service providers, children can enjoy a visit to the fairy face painter and take part in fun library activities, making it an enjoyable day out for the whole family.
Participating organisations include:
- Encompass Financial Education Team, providing free guidance on organising finances and age-appropriate financial education for children.
- Encompass Community Education Legal Team, offering information on cyberbullying, healthy relationships, social media legislation and young people's rights.
- Spiers Centre Financial Hardship Services, helping families develop money management skills and make informed financial decisions.
- Energy Ahead, sharing practical solutions to reduce energy costs and ease financial pressure.
- The Smith Family's Saver Plus program, supporting families to build financial confidence, develop savings habits and create new opportunities.
- Joondalup Libraries, showcasing the financial benefits of a free library membership and the wide range of resources available to support lifelong learning.
The expo will run for approximately two hours and light refreshments will be available.
