The City of Joondalup offers a wide range of community venues, halls, parks, beaches and facilities for hire—perfect for meetings, celebrations, events and community activities. Whether you are a first time hirer or a regular user, the City has made it easier to find the right space, check availability and understand hire fees so you can plan with confidence.

  • Discover venues near you:
    • If you are not sure where venues are located, the In My Neighbourhood Map is the best place to start. This interactive tool allows you to explore facilities, parks and community venues across the City, helping you quickly find options close to home or in your preferred suburb.
    • The City also provides a comprehensive listing of facilities, venues and parks, including community halls and clubrooms, beaches, playgrounds and more.

  • Explore venue details and capacity:
    • Each community venue varies in size, layout and functionality. Across the City there are 35 venues available for hire, ranging from small meeting rooms to large halls that can cater for up to 300 people. See community venues.
    • Many venues also offer virtual 360 degree tours so you can explore key features before making a decision. If you prefer an in person inspection, you can contact the Community Venues team to arrange a viewing.

  • Check availability:
    • Once you have found a venue you’re interested in, you can check availability online. The venue bookings page provides access to availability information for community facilities, parks, beaches and tennis courts.
    • Checking availability online is the quickest way to see if your preferred date and time is open—particularly helpful during busy periods when phone lines may experience high demand.

  • Review hire fees and charges:
    • All community venues, halls, parks and associated facilities are subject to the City’s fees and charges. The applicable hourly rate or bond will vary depending on the venue type, booking type and your user group classification. See fees and charges.

  • Submit your booking or enquiry:

After identifying a suitable venue and confirming availability, you can submit a booking request online.

  1. Casual bookings: Submit via the venue bookings online portal
  2. Regular bookings (more than once a month): Use the regular hirer enquiry form

  • Access support if you need assistance:
    • If you’re planning an external event such as a community festival or public activity, the City provides guidance on permits, requirements and approval timeframes.
    • Event organisers are encouraged to discuss their needs with the Community Venues Team before submitting an application.
