Growing Community Together is a three part workshop series that invites individuals, community groups and clubs to explore ideas, discover their strengths and build the confidence to take the first steps toward community led initiatives.

Through guided conversations and practical tools you will gain a clearer understanding of what matters to you and how you can play a meaningful role in shaping local initiatives. Whether you have an early idea or are simply curious about what’s possible, these workshops offer structured methods and supportive conversations to help you take the next step.

Facilitated by Befriend, a Perth based social enterprise experienced in inclusive community building and capability development, participants will:

  • Build confidence to explore or progress community led ideas.
  • Discover their personal strengths, gifts and motivations.
  • Learn simple, practical tools used in community building practice.
  • Share ideas and learn from real community experiences.
  • Connect with peers who are also interested in contributing.
  • Identify realistic next steps for getting involved or starting something new.
  • Strengthen existing groups or spark new initiatives.

You are welcome to attend the workshop that interests you most or participate in all three.

Workshop sessions will be help at Joondalup Library (ground floor meeting room):
