About the research
The City is conducting this survey to better understand how it is currently perceived by key stakeholders, including residents, workers, visitors, students and other stakeholders.
The findings will provide an evidence base to support future decision-making relating to the City's reputation, identity, communications and stakeholder engagement and ensure future decisions are informed by community and stakeholder perspectives.
The survey includes questions about:
- Awareness and understanding of the City.
- Perceptions of the City's reputation and strengths.
- Feelings of connection, pride and identity associated with the City.
- Experiences with and awareness of City communications.
- Preferred communication channels and engagement methods.
- General feedback and opinions about the City.
Community and stakeholder feedback provides valuable insight into how the City is currently perceived and experienced. These insights help ensure future decisions are informed by evidence and reflect the perspectives of the people who interact with the City.
No decisions have been made regarding any future branding initiatives. This survey is focused on understanding current perceptions and establishing a baseline of evidence. Any future decisions regarding branding or positioning would be considered separately and informed by a range of factors, including the findings from this research.
The survey is intended for stakeholders over the age of 18 years who live, work, study, visit, invest in, or otherwise engage with the City and its services, programs, facilities or communications.
Participating in the survey
No. Participation is entirely voluntary. You may choose not to answer any question and can exit the survey at any time before submitting your responses.

How the results will be used

- Identify strengths and opportunities.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of current communication channels.
- Improve stakeholder engagement approaches.
- Establish baseline measures that can be tracked over time.
