From Saturday 7– Sunday 22 March 2026, the City of Joondalup will come alive with Joondalup Festival 2026, transforming parks, lakes, and the coast into a playground of art, performance, and community experiences.
This year’s program is headlined by three major free public spectacles. At Sir James McCusker Park in Illuka, 52 glowing figures in Crystal People shimmer from day into night, creating a mesmerizing lakeside installation. At Hillarys Boat Harbour, the Australian debut of Acqua Forte Parade fills the water with illuminated floats, quirky characters, and pyrotechnics over four magical nights. And at Tom Simpson Park, Mullaloo, The Whale invites visitors to help bring a giant marionette to life in a hands-on, interactive experience.
Alongside these shows, festivalgoers can enjoy immersive events, workshops, and performances, including community dance battles, lakeside yoga, and sing-along cinema experiences. With free installations and family-friendly activities across the city, there’s something for everyone to explore and enjoy.
