October is Mental Health month at the City of Joondalup Libraries, and we are hosting four free community sessions with a focus on stress management, resilience and self care.

Community Session - Raising resilient teens
Wednesday 8 October, 6pm - Duncraig Library
No cost. Register online.

This workshop outlines what mental health challenges look like in teenagers, how to identify the risk and protective factors associated with resilience, and how to develop supporting strategies and resilience-building activities.

Community Session - Managing stress
Thursday 9 October, 10am - Woodvale Library
No cost. Register online.

Join us for a presentation on stress management and self-care. We'll explore the difference  between eustress and distress, coping strategies, and available support services. Learn practical tips to enhance your wellbeing as a carer.

Community Session - Expressive therapy (carers only)
Wednesday 15 October, 1.30pm - Woodvale Library
No cost. Register online.

Join us for a workshop that explores the grief and loss carers often experience when a loved one develops a mental health challenge. This session offers a safe space to process emotions, connect with others, and find healing and understanding.

Community Session - Boost your Wellbeing
Thursday 16 October, 10am - Joondalup Library
No cost. Register online.

Discover practical tools to enhance mental fitness, build resilience, and develop coping strategies to help with stress and burnout. This session includes interactive activities and insightful videos to help you learn new coping strategies.
