Joondalup Libraries continue to be a valued and well‑used community service, according to a recent statewide customer feedback survey.

In October 2025, Action Market Research was commissioned by the State Library of Western Australia to survey public library customers. The survey aimed to better understand community needs, improve library services and help inform how the public library network prioritises funding and resources.

Results for Joondalup Libraries show strong engagement both in person and online. 91% of respondents visited the library in person in the four weeks prior to the survey, while 87% accessed library services online. Borrowing items remains the most popular service, along with using the library as a place to relax, read or study. Library programs, including children’s activities and a range of adult events, clubs and groups, also continue to attract solid participation.

Customer satisfaction was consistently high, with 95–98% of respondents agreeing they receive good customer service, are satisfied with library services and had a positive experience during their most recent visit. Overall, Joondalup Libraries achieved an excellent Net Promoter Score of +72, reflecting strong community loyalty and advocacy.

These results highlight the important role Joondalup Libraries play as welcoming, trusted spaces that support learning, wellbeing and connection.
