City contractors will soon be commencing a realignment of an internal fence separating the large dog and small dog exercise areas at Elcar Park dog exercise area, to prevent dogs from digging under the fence line. Worn out turf will also be repaired in the large dog area during this time.
This work is scheduled to begin on Monday 24 November 2025 and will require closure of the site until Friday 28 November 2025 (weather permitting). A section of the park will remain closed until Sunday 21 December 2025.
Every effort will be made to minimise any disruption to affected residents and park users.
