The City is offering teachers the opportunity to bring their high school students along to a Visual Storytelling Workshop with Aśka Coinciding with Children’s Book Week 2026.

Why do the little kids get to have all the fun? This year the City is expanding our Children’s Book Week offerings to high school students as well!

Join storyteller Aśka for one of the following sessions prioritising students in Year 7-9.

  • Tuesday 25 August, 9:15-10:30am, 11am-12:15pm, 1-2:15pm, Woodvale Library.

Aska’s sessions empower students to express themselves with images, teaching critical assessment of visual media, and illuminating new ways of seeing the world and solving problems.

Bring your English class! Bring your Art class! Bring your creative storytellers and join us in preparing the next generation for the evermore complex future, full of screens and visual stimuli.
