Complaints register

The complaints register discloses information about substantiated behavioural breach complaints and previous substantiated minor beach complaints.

An Elected Member, Committee Member or Candidate commits a behavioural breach if he or she contravenes Division 3 – Behaviour of the City of Joondalup Code of Conduct for Council Members, Committee Members and Candidates (see below).

How to lodge a behavioural breach complaint

To lodge a behavioural breach complaint:

1.    Download and compete the form below

2.    Return the completed form via email to ceo@joondalup.wa.gov.au

Important note: the complaints register is not applicable to:

  • complaints which consist of an expression of dissatisfaction about the standard of the service, products, actions, or lack of action by the City or its contractors

  • conduct breach complaints which contravene the Local Government (Model Code of Conduct) Regulations 2021 and include:

o    misuse of a local government resource

o    securing personal advantage or disadvantaging others

o    prohibition against involvement in administration

o    relationships with local government employees

o    disclosure of information/interests.
