What is e-waste

e-waste is old electronic technology which has been out dated or no longer needed such as the old analogue televisions, which has been superseded by digital televisions.

Free e-waste drop off weekend

The next event will be Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 August 2018

The drop off is held between 9.00am – 4.00pm in the rear car park of Craigie Leisure Centre.

The items you can drop off include:

  • Computer equipment
  • Printers, scanners
  • Telephones, faxes
  • Mobile Phones
  • Digital cameras and video cameras
  • Gaming equipment
  • Televisions, video players, DVD players.

What will not be accepted on the day

  • Whitegoods, vacuum cleaners, microwaves, kitchen appliances, hair dryers
  • Non-computer batteries
  • Fluorescent lighting tubes
  • Hazardous waste.

e-waste disposal

Domestic quantities of e-waste can be dropped-off for free, 7 days a week at these permanent facilities:

  • Balcatta Recycling Centre, 238 Balcatta Road, Balcatta
  • Tamala Park Recycling Centre, 1700 Marmion Avenue, Tamala Park.
