Greens Tipping Vouchers
The City issue residents with four green waste tipping vouchers, two mulch or compost vouchers, and one recycle voucher per financial year to use at the Wangara Greens Recycling Centre. The vouchers can only be used on weekends and public holidays.
Please visit myJoondalup to download your vouchers.
The vouchers include a unique QR code that can be downloaded onto a smart device to be shown and scanned at Wangara Greens Recycling Centre. Please note that a valid ID may be required to show proof of address.
Downloading the vouchers and waste guide saves approximately 1.5 tonnes of paper every year, helping the City to be more sustainable. City Libraries and the Customer Care team can assist residents in downloading their vouchers and accessing the Waste Guide online. Print copies are available on request.
More information
Green waste tipping
Residents can dispose of up to 500kg of green waste per tipping voucher.
The green waste is processed at the Wangara Greens Recycling Facility and is shredded and turned into mulch. Mulch is used on gardens to keep the moisture in the soil from evaporating and adds organic matter to the soil. Therefore, it is extremely important to make sure there are no other items mixed into the green waste such as sand, treated timber, building rubble or concrete.
PLEASE NOTE: Any commercial services using residential vouchers for greens tipping will need a letter from the resident whose property the greens are from when presenting the vouchers for use at Wangara Greens Recycling.
Free mulch or compost
Residents can use the voucher for 2 x one cubic meter or 6×4 trailer load of shredded green waste and 2 x 6 bags of compost. Mulch collected in trailers or utes must be covered by tarpaulins and secured with rope.
The Wangara Greens Recycling Centre is owned and run by the City of Wanneroo. Please visit the City of Wanneroo website for opening times.
