Greens Tipping Vouchers 2022/23

2022/2023 Greens waste vouchers now available to download

The City of Joondalup is taking new measures to enhance its reputation as WA’s leading local government when it comes to environmental sustainability.

In 2022/23, residents will be able to download the annual waste guide directly from the City’s website, saving about 1.5 tonnes of paper every year.

From Friday 1 July Tipping vouchers will include a unique QR code that can be downloaded onto a smart device to be shown and scanned at the Recycling Centre.

Vouchers only need to be shown on a phone or iPad at the recycling facility for the QR code to be scanned (along with a valid ID to show proof of address, if requested).

City Libraries and the Customer Service team at the administration building can assist residents to download their voucher and access the guide online.

Print copies will also be available on request.

Green waste tipping

The City issues residents with four green waste Tipping vouchers per year, for use at the Wangara Greens Recycling Centre. Resident can dispose of up to 500kgs of green waste per tipping voucher.

These vouchers are valid for a financial year and can only be used on weekends and public holidays at the Wangara Greens Recycling Centre. Entry fees will apply without a valid voucher.

As the green waste is shredded and turned into mulch it is extremely important to make sure there are no other items mixed into the green waste such as, sand, treated timber, building rubble or concrete.

PLEASE NOTE: Any commercial services using residential vouchers for greens tipping will need a letter from the resident whose property the greens are from when presenting the vouchers for use at Wangara Greens Recycling.

Free mulch

The greens processed at the Wangara greens recycling facility is shredded and turned into mulch. This mulch is available for use on your gardens to keep the moisture in the soil from evaporating and adds organic matter to the soil.

Pick up your free mulch, using your mulch vouchers, from Wangara Greens Recycling Facility. Mulch can be collected in trailers or utes which must be covered by tarpaulins and secured with rope.

Fees apply without a valid tipping or mulch voucher.

The Wangara Greens Recycling Centre is owned and run by the City of Wanneroo. Please visit the City of Wanneroo website for opening times and COVID restrictions.
