Grants and Funding (Sport and Recreation)

The City recognises that funding can significantly boost the delivery of programs and activities for your club. Subscribe to the City’s Clubs in Focus eNewsletter to be notified of upcoming funding opportunities.

Individual grants

KidSport – assistance to contribute towards the cost of registration fees for children to participate in sport and recreation clubs.

Local Sporting Champions – The Junior Sporting Achievement Grant is no longer offered. Sport Australia offers financial assistance for coaches, officials and competitors aged 12-18 participating in state, national or international championships.

Club grants

Please note that the Sports Development Program funding has ceased. Sport and Recreation Clubs are eligible to apply for the City’s revised Community Funding Program.

Facility grants

Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund – assistance for local clubs to develop or upgrade sporting or recreation infrastructure.

Club Funded Facility Upgrades – for local sporting clubs looking to do a facility project at their own cost.

The City’s Sport and Recreation team can also assist your club in identifying and applying for external grants.
