This October, Joondalup Libraries will host an exciting collection of author events. Check out the special guests and book in today.

Meet the Author – Joanna Morrison
Tuesday 4 October, 6.00pm – 7.30pm
Duncraig Public Library

New local author Joanna Morrison will launch her first novel, The Ghost of Gracie Flynn, about three university friends divided by a tragic death and the memories that still haunt them eighteen years later. Joanna has a background in Journalism and a PhD in Creative writing, and her novel was shortlisted for the City of Fremantle Hungerford Award in 2020. Joanna’s book will be available for purchase and signing on the day.

Meet the Author – Kate McCaffrey
Wednesday 26 October, 6.00pm – 7.30pm
Whitford Public Library

Kate McCaffrey is a local WA author, who has published five Young Adult novels. Her debut book for adults, Double Lives, examines notions of truth, gender, identity and acceptance in a compelling novel about a cold case crime podcast. Kate’s book will be available for purchase and signing on the day.

Meet the Author – Vivien Stuart
Monday 31 October, 10.00am – 11.30am
Woodvale Public Library

Meet author Vivien Stuart as she discusses her recently published novel Acacia House, which follows the lives of three palliative care nurses from diverse backgrounds who nurse in a Perth hospice. Vivien will reflect on how nursing and her PhD in the care for the dying influenced how she approached her novel. Vivien’s book will be available for purchase and signing on the day.
