Luminight attracted thousands of people across the City and beyond for three nights of colour and spectacular fun. Of the many highlights, none shone brighter than the performances of Zap Circus, WA’s fire, SPX and circus performance company. The award winning duo performed the biggest and best acts from their CIRCUS FIRE Spectacular show.

WA lighting designer Christian Lovelady’s installations provided a dazzling trail of lights throughout the illuminate zone. Illuminated robots and ballerinas roamed the site and the pond at Central Park south was transformed thanks to over 800 lily pads, courtesy of local schools and artist Sean Adamas. The maze and silent disco kept many visitors entertained while the live music stage provided a high quality soundtrack.

Joondalup Mayor Albert Jacob said Luminight was a spectacular way to conclude the City’s summer events program. “While the City was obviously disappointed it was unable to hold the Joondalup Festival in 2021, Luminight allowed us to deliver a family-friendly event in a COVID-safe manner and using exclusively WA talent.”
