Boodja Biddi (Bush Track)

Kids will have fun learning about culture and nature on this outdoor walk.

This interactive school holiday activity from Milliyaan Aboriginal Services introduces children to Noongar culture in a fun, accessible way. They’ll learn about the significance of local animals to Noongar people and how the everyday plants we see in the bush have been cleverly used by Aboriginal people over thousands of years.

Important information

  • This workshop is designed for children aged 8-12 years old.
  • Parents or adult guardians are invited to join the walk and activities too.
  • No food is provided at this workshop but you’re welcome to bring along some snacks to eat on the go.
  • Padbury Hall has free parking, including one ACROD bay.
  • The venue is wheelchair accessible.

About Milliyaan Aboriginal Services

Cyril Yarran is an experienced Noongar educator with connections to the Whadjuk, Binjareb, Yued and Balladong regions. Along with his team, he has facilitated countless education programs across Perth for early learning through to high school. 

Cyril is passionate about preserving Noongar culture and passing this knowledge onto future generations.
