Noongar Language Classes - Warwick

Learn to speak Noongar – the official language spoken by Aboriginal people from WA’s southwest, passed down orally over many thousands of years. 

Start your Noongar journey in a welcoming and engaging environment, with sessions led by experienced Noongar Language Teacher Tamara Tucker from Yalkarang Consulting.

Important information

• All classes are suitable for beginners, with a different subject area covered each week.
• Make the most of your Noongar language journey by coming to all three classes over the three weeks. When booking, just choose the first date and then add the extra classes to your cart at check-out.
• You can also just book in for one or two classes whenever it suits you.
• Ellersdale Park Clubrooms can be found at Ellersdale Park, 50 Ellersdale Ave, Warwick.
• Free verge parking is available around the perimeter of the park, with two ACROD bays located near the path to the clubroom.
• Ellersdale Park Clubroom a wheelchair accessible venue.

About Yalkarang Consulting

Yalkarang Consulting was established in 2023 by Tamara and Brenton Tucker. Tamara is a Yamatji Noongar lady and Brenton is a Wongatha man.

Positively promoting culture and language is their passion. By sharing their culture, they hope to support reconciliation and create genuine, lasting relationships between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people.
