Noongar Stargazing

WA’s world-class dark skies are a natural theatre to inspire, educate and connect us through the night sky. Inspired by interpretations of the sky by artists Louise Malarvie and Ash Tower in the Invitation Art Prize, join us for an unforgettable evening under the stars with Cyril Yarran (Milliyaan Aboriginal Services) and the team from Star Tracks Astro Events.

Using powerful telescopes and a guided laser-pointer tour, you’ll explore the night sky and learn about Aboriginal constellations. During the season of Kambarang, the night sky will put on a show, with this being the best time of year to see the stunning ringed planet Saturn and the incredible quarter Moon. Through telescopes, you’ll discover intricate craters and ancient lava flows, while hearing stories about the Aboriginal sky.
