Joondalup Libraries has unveiled its first major rebrand since 2006, marking a significant step forward in how the Libraries present themselves to the community.
The rebrand was a collaborative effort between library staff and the City’s marketing team, with all elements, from the logo to the colour palette, developed entirely in-house. The design process was guided by a comprehensive brief prepared by library staff and shaped by feedback gathered from across the library team, ensuring the final result truly reflects the values and personality of Joondalup Libraries.
The new look reflects what our libraries are all about: being welcoming, friendly, inclusive, helpful, and engaging. The colour palette draws from the new City of Joondalup website, strengthening the visual connection between the City and its libraries. Each library also has its own logo variant, celebrating its unique identity while maintaining a strong link to the overarching brand.
The refreshed branding introduces a modern logo designed to be versatile across print, digital, and merchandise applications. A series of additional graphic elements, created in a continuous line drawing style, offer flexibility for promoting events and programs in a consistent and engaging way.
The newly branded library vans, used for our Books on Wheels deliveries, inter-library deliveries, and by the community outreach team at City events, are the first major rollout of the refreshed Joondalup Libraries identity. The updated designs have been warmly received by the community, helping to visually reinforce the Libraries’ welcoming and inclusive presence and serving as mobile extensions of the brand.
