The Reference and Local History team are available to assist you with your family history research. A variety of resources are available from the Libraries to aid your research:

- records on microfiche
Selected items are available for loan. Check the library catalogue for details or ask a staff member.
Family History Events
Family History Help
Family History Help is a volunteer-led program that provides assistance to people who wish to research their family history. Beginners are welcome. Sessions are held at:
- Woodvale Library – Tuesdays, 9.30am – 12.30pm.
- Joondalup Library, Local History – Wednesdays, 9.00am – 12.00noon.
- Joondalup Library, Local History – third Saturday of the month, 16 March, 20 April, 18 May – 1.00pm – 3.00pm.
An Introduction to Family History Research
- Woodvale Library – Tuesday 5 March, 10.00am – 12.00noon
- Cost $10.00. Book and pay via Ticketbooth.
Writing Your Family History
- Joondalup Library, Local History – Saturday 27 April, 1.30pm – 3.30pm
- Cost $5.00. Book and pay via Ticketbooth.

- The Family and Local History Newsletter is a quarterly publication produced by the Reference and Local History team. The newsletter contains tips, hints and feature articles.
