Technology training through the Libraries
City of Joondalup Libraries provide a number of technology training opportunities, including one-to-one training and small group classes.
Offered at all branches, Keystrokes is a personalised, one to one, volunteer facilitated session to teach introductory computer skills such as Internet navigation, eBook use, connecting with App stores and other basic technology skills. Participants need to have access to a device such as a smart phone, tablet or laptop and to bring their device to the session. All participants are expected to have some basic knowledge of their device.
Offered on the first and third Friday morning of each month at the Woodvale Library, Digital Drop-in is an informal group with the topics covered being largely at the request of the group.
Phone assistance with technology issues, including how to access the Libraries’ online resources, is available by contacting Woodvale Library on 9400 4180.
Online programs for self-directed technology training are also available. Topics include most commonly used software applications and social media.
