The Joondalup Festival is the spectacular finale to the City of Joondalup’s summer events season, a three-day feast of arts and cultural happenings. Celebrating twenty years in 2018, it is the northern corridor’s largest and most significant community event.
As the population of the northern corridor increases, the Joondalup Festival continues to grow and develop. Each year the Festival program features a mix of international, national and local performances.
The Joondalup Festival continues to invest in the local Western Australian arts sector, providing emerging and seasoned artists the opportunity to take artistic risks and produce new work. It also strives to present international works to the Joondalup community to inspire and encourage cultural exchange between people.
Each year the heart of Joondalup is transformed with pop-up performance venues, street theatre, music, markets and outdoor dining areas. Community participation programs such as the Community Choral Project and the Twilight Lantern Parade bring the community together in the lead-up to the festival.
Opportunities are available for artists, food vendors and market stallholders to participate in the Joondalup Festival. Information will be available on this website as opportunities arise.
The next Joondalup Festival is 5-7 April 2019.
