Walk of Fame

Opened in 2021, the Walk of Fame, located in the Joondalup City Centre is a showcase of local identities that have been recognised for achievements in their chosen fields. It seeks to inspire and showcase role models for residents, while creating a record of community champions in a public and central site within the Joondalup City Centre.  

Objectives

The objectives of the Walk of Fame are to:

  • Celebrate significant achievements of local community members.
  • Provide inspiration and role models for local residents.
  • Create a valuable record of social history.

Selection criteria

  • Nominee has resided in the City for over five years and/or attended an educational institution that is located within the City of Joondalup for 5 years or more.
  • Area of recognition: sports, business or community.
  • Clubs played for are located within the City of Joondalup.
  • Detail business, professional or community achievements.
  • Nominee involvement with the community and/or philanthropy within the City of Joondalup.
  • Awards received elsewhere.
  • Media Profile.

Further Information

The City seeks nominations for the Walk of Fame every two years through a public process. Each nominee must have either resided in the City for over five years and /or attended a school within the City for more than five years.
