Accessible Tourism
Accessible tourism is the ongoing endeavour to ensure tourist destinations, products, and services are accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
By supporting accessible tourism, the City of Joondalup seeks to ensure that visitors with disabilities or other accessibility needs can participate in and enjoy all the City offers.
Accessible Tourism encourages businesses to improve and communicate their accessibility for visitors across five areas:
- Low hearing
- Cognitive/autism
- Limited mobility
- Mobility aids
- Low vision
Businesses can do a simple self-assessment to start their accessible journey.

Spinal Life Australia
Spinal Life Australia offers a fee for service assessment on functionality and user experience and also provides a free business accessibility toolkit.
Accessible businesses, point of interest and tourist destinations can be listed on the Accessible Australia webpage.Owner/proprietor/City can self-list or can get an assessment done to be listed.
