The City of Joondalup invites local schools to participate in its annual art competition, Celebrating Joondalup. Prizes are awarded to the winning artist, their school and the runners up.
- This is an opportunity to meet some of the requirements of the Arts curriculum while learning about Local Government and community.
- The competition offers the chance to exhibit to the whole school and the wider community.
One artwork will be selected as the winner of the Celebrating Joondalup competition and will be used to represent the City of Joondalup in the annual #shoWcAse IN PIXELS competition.
The 2020 Celebrating Joondalup winner was Amelia Donohue from Prendiville Catholic College.
All finalists for 2020 are on display online and in the Joondalup Library until 10 July 2020.
Individual students, partners, or groups can contribute to the designs.
Registrations for the 2021 competition will be open in February 2021.
Art work will need to be submitted to the School Liaison Officer by May 2021. Art work will be on display in the City of Joondalup Libraries during June. The winning artist and their school along with runners up will be awarded prizes.
