EasyPark will soon be rolled out, making paid parking smarter, faster, and more flexible in the City of Joondalup. Registration for the EasyPark App is quick and easy via easypark.com.au or download via your App store.

Pay for parking while sitting in your car – no need to walk to a machine.
Avoid infringements by setting reminders in the app and managing your parking session directly from your phone.
Need more time? Extend your parking using the app.
Need less time? Stop your parking & only pay for the time you use.

How to use EasyPark

Download from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Register your details and vehicles.
Once parked, open the App, confirm your location, choose the correct vehicle registration, and start your parking session!
Extend your parking at any time from the app, up to the maximum parking time allowed.
When returning to your car, open the App and end your session to ensure you only pay for the time you have used.

When can I start paying with the EasyPark App?

Easypark goes live on Monday 10 June 2024. Register now at easypark.com.au and be ready to go.

Where can I use EasyPark?

EasyPark can be used in all fee-payable parking areas within Joondalup City Centre, excluding the Reid Promenade Multistorey car park, as well as Ocean Reef Marina.

If the parking signage states ‘fee payable’ and/or to display a ticket you can use the EasyPark App instead of using the ticket machine. The EasyPark App gives you a ‘virtual’ ticket rather than a physical ticket.

Can I still pay for parking with cash or card?

The City ticket machines will still be available to pay for parking.

Do I have to use the App?

No, drivers who want to use the ticket machines can do so. The EasyPark App is an additional convenience for drivers who want it.

Is there minimum time or payment amount when I use EasyPark?

No, there is no minimum payment or time with EasyPark. Start your parking session when you park, and end your parking session when you leave to only pay for the time you use.

Does parking cost more if I use the App?

EasyPark charges a service fee for users. This additional cost goes to the App provider, not the City.

Are there charges for EasyPark SMS reminders?

Yes, EasyPark charge for SMS reminders, you can opt out of this service at any time via the App.

In App push-notifications reminders are free of charge.

Who do I contact if I need assistance using the App?

Customer support is provided by EasyPark on 1300 734 070.

Do I still have to display a ticket when parking?

If you use a ticket machine you do need to display the parking ticket on your vehicle dash.

Please note, if a machine isn’t accepting credit card payments or the coin payment slot isn’t working, payment can be made using the EasyPark App.

How will City Field Officers know I’ve paid using EasyPark if I don’t get a ticket?

If you have registered your vehicle within the App, our Field Officers will be able to use the licence plate to confirm you have paid for parking.

Do I have to move my vehicle in on-street time-restricted bays once I’ve parked for the full allowed length of time?

(what do I do once I’ve parked for 2-hours in a 2-hour space?)

Yes, once you have parked for the maximum time allowed in a bay according to the signed restrictions, you must move your vehicle to a different section of road and not return to the same section of road within 2-hour.

I received a parking infringement, and I purchased parking through EasyPark, how do I appeal my infringement?

To submit an appeal, follow the instructions on the back of the infringement notice. Appeals must be submitted in writing and can be done so online, via post or in person at the City of Joondalup Administration building, 90 Boas Avenue, Joondalup.

Can I reserve parking through the App?

No, this function on the EasyPark App is not available in City of Joondalup.

Can I apply for a permit through the App?

No, this function on the EasyPark App is not currently available in the City of Joondalup.

How does EasyPark treat my personal data?

About

Joondalup Library is one of the busiest public library in Western Australia. Joondalup Library opened its doors in 1997 as part of a civic and administration centre. Since then it has been proudly serving Joondalup’s community, providing access to meeting rooms, technology and a vast range of books, DVDs, CDs and other formats, just to name a few.

A Walk in the Park

The City of Joondalup maintains over 300 parks and reserves. Visiting one of them is a great way to get out and about, connect with nature, catch up with friends and family and keep active. Many are perfect for picnics and barbecues or to enjoy a relaxing walk with a friend. An interactive map listing the amenities at each park is available via the City’s website under Parks and Reserves.

Check out some popular favourites online. This is a handy tool to check for the availability of facilities such as seating areas, lighting and outdoor gyms to name a few.

Dogs on leads are permitted at most parks, check out restriction areas online. You can request dog waste bags online.

You can find barbeque facilities at over thirty parks in the City of Joondalup. All barbecues are electric, free to use and are maintained and cleaned regularly.

Sorrento Beach

Sorrento Beach offers excellent family swimming and turquoise water laps against pure white sand, making it an idyllic spot for a relaxing afternoon of beach fun.

Sorrento Beach is located directly south of the bustling Hillarys Boat Harbour, which is home to plenty of restaurants and cafes, as well as the Aquarium of Western Australia.

The Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club provides peace of mind with lifeguard patrols on weekends and public holidays, while midweek lifeguard patrols are provided by the City in conjunction with Surf Life Saving WA.

Removal of Beach Enclosure

The City of Joondalup in conjunction with the State Government installed a beach enclosure at Sorrento Beach in late 2016, however at its November 2020 meeting, Joondalup Council unanimously resolved to remove the Sorrento Beach enclosure due to the compromised integrity of the structure. Removal of the beach enclosure has been completed.

The City will investigate options for the provision of a replacement enclosure. This will enable the City to adequately investigate and plan appropriately to implement a new enclosure, aided by the lessons learnt from the Sorrento Beach enclosure.

Ninja Warrior Course at Whitfords Nodes

Visitors to Whitfords Nodes Park in Hillarys can unleash their inner warrior at the City of Joondalup park Ninja Warrior Obstacle Course located at the popular health and wellbeing hub located near the 145-step stairway structure and fitness equipment.

The Warrior Course is the first mega course in Australia and has been designed in a similar fashion to the obstacles on the popular Australian Ninja Warrior TV show. The challenge is to complete each obstacle landing only on the green mounds following the circuit route from start to finish.

It is appropriate for users aged 12 and over and is a fun way to develop strength and agility.

Please be aware that this facility is not available for booking or exclusive use by individuals as it is a public facility (similar to the City’s playspaces and other fitness installations).

Important: if you have a medical condition, are overweight, aged over 40 or haven’t exercised in a long time, before starting a new exercise program, you should have a medical check-up. Please note that the City is not liable for any injury or loss sustained as a result of using the equipment.

Reid Promenade car park – CBD

The City’s multi-storey car park is centrally located in the Joondalup City Centre.

There are 538 regular bays (including six disability parking bays) and six motorcycle bays in the public area of the car park.

It also offers:

Safe and secure parking
Undercover parking
Ticketless parking – Licence Plate Recognition (LPR) technology is used
Electric vehicle charging stations, in the main public car park
Access to the main public car park between 6.00am – 8.00pm weekdays (except public holidays)
Different rates for different parking options, e.g. Early Bird and Monthly Fee Services
28 Premium reserved bays (including one disability parking bay) in the private area of the car park with 24 hour access

Annual parking permits

Please note as of 1 January 2023, the maximum allocated number of free annual parking permits per property will be reduced to two (2). If annual parking permits have already been allocated to the property, new applications will be assessed after the renewal period has ceased on 1 January 2023.

Duncraig Library

About

Duncraig Library is a vibrant and welcoming community space enjoyed by people of all ages. The library opened in 1974 and as one of the top ten busiest Libraries in the state, it remains a favourite place for people to experience, learn and socialise.

In April 2019 a community artwork collaboration between students at Duncraig Primary School and WA artist Andrew Frazer was unveiled on the front wall. It celebrates the surrounding native flora and complements the flourishing community garden located in the library courtyard and surrounds. The garden is managed by Duncraig Edible Garden, a community driven project that promotes values of community, sustainability and sharing economies.
