Change of dog ownership

If you are selling or giving away your dog you are required to notify the City within 28 days (24 hours in the case of a dangerous dog).

It is an offence to sell or give away a dog that is not registered and microchipped.

You can advise of a change of ownership by completing the Animal registration – amend cat or dog registration details online form.
